They will be at the Open Door, Werneth, Oldham on Sunday October 14th, and at Lymm Folk Club on Thursday January 10th 2008.

If you want any other info, PM your email address to me, and I'll pass it on to Roger, who will let you have an up to date gig list.

I really like the Threllfalls first saw them three years ago at my first Towersey as Threllfall Ellison Edwards, cracking singing powerfull voices and nice tastefull arrangements with nice anglo and melodeon work and guitar. When they sang accapella you could hear the blood between them and in the songs.

'Atmospheric' is the word I'd use! Their third album is long overdue...

Two new CDs coming out soon, according to a flyer which was around at Whitby: a retrospective CD replacing the now deleted albums 'Morning Tempest' and 'Gown of Green',available from September, and a new CD scheduled for the end of the year.

Contact them here: trio.threlfall@virgin.net

Their version of "Once I courted a damsel" was just about the best thing I heard all week at Whitby

Been seeing various guises throughout the years. Jane with Carl, Jane and Amanda, the foursome and trio. Must say my favourite was the foursome with Martin Ellison but I do particularly like the squeezebox and Mr E is one hell of a player! Still good now of course but whereas I would have travelled miles it is only yards now;-)

Cheers

Dave

On one of the nights I was MC at the football club I noticed that we didnt have a band to start the evening off the way I like. So the night before at the resolution when I was far from my best I collared Roger Edwards and he agreed to bring Jane and Amanda with him to start the night for us.Despite the fact that they had another gig that night at the rugby club they turned up and even started playing 10-15 mins before the session was due to start.

The only pity was they couldnt stay for the rest of the evening.

If you read this gals and guy thanks once again.

Ken Hall.

I've just received an email informing me that the retrospective CD, Revisited, is now available price £10 + £1.20 p&p, cheques payable to R Edwards, Beehive Music, 197/9 Town Lane, Whittle-le-Woods, Chorley, Lancs, PR6 8AG. This is 18 newly recorded tracks to partially replace the two CDs that are no longer available. The new CD should be available January/February next year, price tbc, from the same source, and about the same time there should also be a new website, apparently either www.janeandamandathrelfall.net or www.triothrelfall.net. Something to look forward to.

Just been playing "Anglo International" CDs again. The track with Jane and Amanda singing accompanied by Martin Ellison reminded me how good they were when I saw them earlier this year. Theirs was the best version I have heard of "Blacksmith Courted Me".

The info about the CDs is useful. Will have to keep a lookout.

It's Roger Edwards on concertina on Anglo International not Martin.
