Michael Cooney sings it, and it begins "Once there was a man named Einstein, who tried hard to figure it out..." I believe someone told me once it was by someone named Ginny Cummings, but I want to confirm this so I give proper credit when I sing it. Anybody know? |

I went looking for this song for you and found a great site which I started a thread on, the FolkLib Index one. Anyway, I saw a discography on there for Michael Cooney, but none of the titles looked likely to me, but I also haven't heard the song. I noticed that he has done a lot on Folk Legacy. Have you asked Sandy Paton whether he knows this? I'll bet he could point you in the right direction if he doesn't know it. You can send him a personal message here or go to the Folk Legacy Records website, which, if I remember right, is www.folklegacy.com. Hope this helps. Good luck. katlaughing |

Just like posting to a thread. Good luck, katlaughing |

She was a folksinger in Chicago for many years and taught banjo and guitar at the Old Town School of Folk Music there.------ Later on, Ginny moved to Maui and lived there until she was sadly killed in a traffic accident. I'm certain there is a obit thread here for Ginny. It's very nice to have her gentleness brought back into memory focus again. There is a photo of Ginny Clemmens at my "Art's Place" photo website that BKLick amazingly created at his own web site. Art Thieme |

Then I did find it---but I had spelled her first name with an "i" at the end. I am not cure, now, which is correct, but I think it was spelled Ginny -- with a "y" Art |
