09 Sep 07 - 10:57 AM (#2144596) Subject: DFW instead of Winfield - Uncle Calvins From: JedMarum I know there are a few Mudcat folks who may be near enough to Dallas this week and who are not going to be in Winfield KS at the Walnut Valley Festival. If so I hope you'll come out to Uncle Calvin's Coffeehouse on Friday Sept 14. I'm playing there with my friend Mason Brown. This is one of the few concert dates I get in my own home town - and Uncle Calvin's is one of the best venues around for small concert goers. I need all the help I can get filling this room, so if you can make it, please come and please bring (or send) a few friends! Mason is truly fine player and I love working with him. He's a terrific mountain style banjo player - and a great guitarist (mostly DADGAD). He also plays the viola da gamba (a six string, baroque, fretted fiddle-type instrument). This will be a very special show, I am certain - and I hope to see as many friendly faces there as possible. They only seat about 150 or so. My son Jaime will join us too - on mando and octave mando.
