BS: Folk 'n Cricket!

Oh to be in South Africa for the twenty-20 series! The BBC has brought it to my attention that the England side has a new opening batsman.

I was absolutely gobsmacked!

As well as being one of the best singers in the folk-rock genre, it now seems that a certain Steelye Span type person has taken up the great game!

Look here if you don't believe me!

Sorry, could someone translate that all into English, or some recognizable equivalent?

EPN - that'll be Maddy Prior, then, will it? (A silly sister, not a scissor sister...)

I take it you're referring to Maddy's guide to twenty20?

English folk music and cricket are both national treasures, because they usually make people laugh at us!

I notice there is a Schofield in there too. Has anyone seen him and the respected editor of the EFDSS magazine together in the same place?

I think we should be told.
