Make sure he sings "Turn and face the wind".
Cracking songs, cracking performer, personable chap, good looking and younger than me. Can't stand him. :-)

The club is held in The Ivy House, Tonbridge, which is at the far end of the High Street where it turns into Bordyke/the HAdlow Road. We start at 8pm with floor spots & the guest usually does 2x40 minute approx spots. There is a hat take, and we encourage waged visitors to put in something folding- not an umbrella...! It's advisable to arrive early for a floor spot/ guaranteed seat.
Next guests are:
Mon 5th November: Galliard
Mon 3rd December: Alan Austen & the Tonbridge Mummers
Mon 7th Jan: Crick & Rivers
Mon 4th Feb: Doug Hudson
Mon March: Elsies' Band

and then we are changing to the third Monday of the month for guests with
Mon 21st April: Barron Brady

Look forward to seeing you there- come and ask me atTenterden about future plans...
Bob

It will probably be next year by time I manage to coinside with a folk night. I will let my daughter, Sinead, have the list just in case they fancy a night out.

Hoping to be with you Mon 5th Nov. Have found my Mudcat badge.

Note we have to put something folding in the hat.... how about a deckchair:)

Think I will be gardening all week at my daughter & son in laws... so whether I will be able to move by the monday remains to be seen!

Where is Wiston Lodge? Im only down for a week from sunny Shropshire. But I can add it to list of places to go for another time.

Off to the tip today and then for walkies at Bedgebury Pinetum.. old stomping ground from when I was at college in Canterbury many years ago.

cheers
