This was sent to me by a good friend who does not post, and probably doesn't want to be identified.

Sounds reasonable to me.

Marcel Marceu---brilliant mime. Today on NPR's Wait Wait DOn't Tell Me they did a nice short tribute---a spoof. An alleged interview with the questioner asking M M how he started his career---silence---

Q. I see
A.----
Q. Anything more you can tell us about the life of a mime
A.   ---
Q. Thanks---I know that the wind has been against you.

The comment afterwards by the host was to the effect that how ironic to end up in a box after all.

Great tribute to a great performer

I saw an interview with Marcel Marceau. I am not a fan of mime. I was fascinated by the intense joy in Marceau's eyes. He was almost childlike in his love of life, his craft and the world in general.

i just saw a preview for a movie which will contain special effects.
the actress mentioned that while in acting school there is a chapter
where mime is presented and practiced. she advises all actors to take
that course, as it encourages the imagination and portrayal of the
objects in the imaginary world. The movie she was filming had scenes
where imaginary characters were included n the scenes and the actors
had to "mime" their characters so that the special effects department could add their images in post - filming.

He,
Was a friend of mime
He
Was a friend of mime.
Never had no language,
To speak his weary mind.
So he
Was a friend of mime.
