I love your sense of humour and your thinking. So, of course, I want to hear your songs. A gig like that can be really exciting, and for those of us who live in various isolations, it sure makes the world a brighter place. Thing is, I need to find a way to record the show. But if they archive it I can download it maybe and get it to a CD from that. I'm cheering for you. I hope it's great. |

Do I HAVE to be the only one with a big enough wooden spoon to say "That's because they haven't heard it yet"? I don't of course really believe that, but it simply HAD to be said. NB - for those who don't get it, this passes for humour in some places over here...... |

Any text with it to explain why they risked damage to a perfectly good camera? Bruce, I am truly flattered. I have tried recording a stream from the radio station, so far without success. I am waiting for a response to my query re. a recording of the show. Kitty, It was recorded Friday afternoon, and consists of an hour long interview including my choice of tracks of people who have exerted influence on my musical developement, along with four tracks of my performances. Richard, B*****d! (LOL) Don T. |

08 Oct 07 - 02:31 AM (#2166288) Subject: RE: Don 'Wysiwyg' Thompson on LINK FM (UK) 10 Oct. From: The Barden of England I had fun doing the show a few weeks back, and managed to record it too, but I don't think there's a 'listen again' feature. As Don said you can hear it online, so I'll try and remember to turn on my computer, insert the radio sender and record to minidisk on my big system - rather a tortuous way of doing it I know, but I've yet to find a good programme to record direct to the computer from a streaming broadcast. Yer an inspiration to a poor journeyman musician. Melodeonboy, I have just spent 60p (for my US friends, that's $1.35 approx) on the Oct 5th KM, and found nothing on any of the page 14s, or indeed on any other page. Is the pic in an earlier issue, or am I the gullible victim of a classic Kevin Henty gotcha? Don T. |

Seems there's no facility to do anything other than listen at 7.00pm tomorrow. Can anybody suggest a piece of downloadable software which will enable a PC to record streaming material/ Preferably a free one. Meanwhile I shall enlist the assistence of the "Barden" if possible. Failing that I will make some material available on the Cat, so my friends can listen to it. Actually, I'll do THAT anyway, ASAP Don T. |

13 Oct 07 - 10:42 AM (#2170274) Subject: RE: Don 'Wysiwyg' Thompson on LINK FM (UK) 10 Oct. From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Hi Folks! Sorry for the gap, but I've been up to my ears in wrangles with my insurance company since my wife met with a woman who decided to re-model the front of my car. Don't know how long till I get the recording, but I did manage to listen and I like the way the program went, though my songs (from CD) sounded a trifle bland to me (I may be wrong here as I hate the sound of my recorded voice). I shall be very interested in your take on it when the time comes. Claudine is indeed very good at making one feel comfortable, but I think next time I'll take the guitar and do it live. Actually I'll have to 'cos she's asked me to take part in a live show in December. More later. Don T. |

I'm with you on that, but remember what that Irish guy said: "O wad some Power the giftie gie us, To see oursels as ithers see us!" (I expect to be hearing from a few Scots directly!) |
