I'm doing a project on the green man in general but I need some photographs to use as reference of people playing jack in the green in morris or oak king or holly king from a mummers play or just generally dancing whilst covered in leaves for whatever reason that might be (i'm not fussy ;)). If it's your own would you mind me using it as the basis of an illustration I have to paint? It's because I have to paint it that I'd like permission to use it and not to just whip some from google image search or anything like that, you see. Thanks! |

From: GUEST,LTS pretending to work The chap to talk to is Keith Leech, who can be contacted through the Hastings Jack in the Green site, and also the Gay Bogies, whose site should be linked to HJITG. I'm afraid I can't do blickies, being as how I'm at work. Also check out the Heddingham Fair site, they also have a goodly selection and I'm sure Ms Cater won't mind you asking where her sources came from, she's very nice. LTS |
