We will be there - this is your birthday singaround Mary, if I'm not mistaken.

Don't forget the hideobilea folks! Mary particularly collects religious items.................

Yes, well, I'm not yet brave enough to give Herself any such oddities. However Mary, I would consider relieving you of the headless object if you truly want it gone.

Hmmmmm...

You'd have room for a few more apple trees and someone could find you a cunning wee skunk cottage!

I'm working on driving down for the singaround. We have an all-day apple workshop the previous day, however, so we may be knackered.

Maeve,
I would be so grateful if you could give headless Jesus a home. I will even include his head which bears an uncanny resemblance to Peter Sousa.
Note to all: If anyone dares to bring anymore fruit trees onto my property, they will be banned for life or for the life of the tree.
This is NOT my birthday party. I will still be 50ish unlike the elderly Jacqui who is rushing me into my grave.
So...who else is in?
Mary

Linn and I will be there without fruit trees, but with a simple gift for Her Birthdayship.

I'm starting work at some point, but not on a Sunday. NEVER on a... oh, nevermind.

I'm pretty sure I'll be there. I just have to remember to put air holes in the gift...

From: Bat Goddess

The simple non-religious gift will be tastefully wrapped in another useful gift. Just have to locate an elaborate bow to define it all.

Lots of good music next weekend between the Portsmouth shanty session on Saturday and Mary's on Sunday. But no time, alas, over the weekend to shovel out our house -- and the guest room in particular. I know there's a bed in there somewhere...

The last time Linn gave me a sensible gift wrapped in a sensible gift, it was a hundred gummy sharks in a hideous swimming pool chip bowl with an equally hideous bathing beauty in the center forming a chip bowl.
I do not collect anything but cat hair and dust.

Right, we have plenty of cat hair and dust at our house. Would you like it wrapped or in a gift bag?

Alas, you would schedule a concert on a Sunday during football season. I am now presented with a dilemma...watch my beloved Patriots cream (I hope) the Miami Dolphins or go to a cool concert.

OK, concert wins, but only if I can nip out and check the game every once in a while.

Know what you mean Ranger, England kick off in the Final of the rugby World Cup around the same time of the opening song in the Press room, I don't think anyone thought we had a hope in hell of making it, and we three, former players, well we will be at the Press Room, can anyone record it on your side of the pond? And take the copy to Sinsuls on Sunday?

Oh two granddaughters who visit and one too young and pulls the bits of the others Barbie then leave for us to pick up the pieces and none seem to fit anything, we had to leave the front room a week before we could Vac it to give us time to do a fingertip search for Shelly's arm which we didn't find. Hope that has cleared it up!

No Barbie parts (back in the late '60s I really wanted to dismember the Barbies owned by my sister, though!) but I've got a great doll's head (yes, just the head) that, when you push its nose says, "I LOVE you!" How's THAT for disgusting?!? But I won't part with it. (You're out of luck, Mary.)

It's New England.

Pack as much variety as possible with the probability that whatever the forecast is, it will change, probably several times during the day and a difference of a mile or two can me totally different weather. Heck - different sides of a *building* cxan have different weather.

that said, chances are it will be nice - as they are usually a day behind upstate NY and we are having a nice day today with a better one predicted for tomorrow.

I just got home - Kendall left earlier and came back to pick me up - and the visitors are now out seeing The Old Port with Tami and Jason. Mary was enjoying the quiet and planning on an early night.

Jeri sang the Wheel of Time and the Brits want to use that, not surprisingly.

The whole afternoon was just magic. Hope they come back and visit again sometime.

I gave them that CD I made quite a while ago. The quality is pretty bad and there are songs (probably most of 'em) they wouldn't be interested in even if someone were holding them at gunpoint. The words to the song (with minor differences to the 'now' version) and the tune are there though. I expect they'll change it if they sing it, and I definitely want to hear it!

What an absolute treat! Yesterday at the Press Room and today at Mary's, with good food, good drink (including Champagne fer cryin' out loud) and the best company anywhere. It would have only been better if Seamus had previously consumed less whatever-the-hell it was Kendall fed him, or at least not constantly aimed his damned business end at me. I'm going to bring a cork and some Superglue in case this happens again. Sorry for the digression.

It's because of times like today that I love this music. I don't know what else I can say. Thanks Mary, and thanks 2BS+1S.

Sinsull-

It really was a wonderful party!

One Stallion (Peter) and his lovely wife Jo did make it up to Richmond (Maine) late this morning. We made some sandwiches for lunch and then went on the road to the coast, dropping off some Roll & Go CD's at the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, driving out across the bridges to Georgetown Island where my mother's farm is, her house stuffed with her art work. We then nosed around the village marina in Robinhood village, and down to Reid State Park, a beautiful mile-long beach with rocky headlands, then over to Five Islands village to admire the public dock and the fishing harbor. Then we motored back to Bath and down to Bailey's Island, down more winding peninsular roads, to Cooks Sea Food Restaurant, just in time for the sunset. We settled in with a plate of mussles and two bottles of wine, and then large red lobsters. The Yorkshire folks were quick learners in the art of disassembling lobsters; the poor crustaceans didn't stand a chance! Then we motored back to Richmond and lazed about the studio talking about music and politics.

Tomorrow they're off on their own while we do our final packing for the trip to Australia.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble

Peter and Jo had a fine day on their own, walking up and down Reid State Park beach watching the wild surf. Then they went off to spend the rest of the cloudy afternoon shopping at L.L. Bean and the other factory outlet stores in Freeport. We've been packing and re-packing (did I pack?) all day but we took a break to take them out to Beale Street BBQ for a feast of smoky pork, beef, and chicken, and another round of drinks. They look quite mellow now, after another round at the house. Peter has a new old song; I prefer his tune to the one I came up with and I just might steal it back.

We all take off in the morning, Peter and Jo to Cape Cod to meet up with the Two Black Sheep and their flock, Judy and I off to Australia.
