I feel a bit cheated really. Was this just publicity for the channel? Here is a link for fans - http://www.ultimatedallas.com/dallasnews/2007/10/01/dallas-ends-on-uk-gold/ |

15 Oct 07 - 05:14 PM (#2171838) Subject: RE: BS: Dallas. UKTV Gold From: Cathie Thanks for that weelittledrummer. I'd never really watched that channel before. Some other programmes seem to be repeated there ad nauseum. My job involves interacting and communicating all day with people. It's nice to sit down and have a programme 'wash over you' - no intellectual demands, just good plot-lines and fascinating fashion. It's funny how so much hinged on getting to a phone - very different now with mobiles and internet. Of course it's real! |

It may not be real for you, but if Charles Frere got hold of Relton Marine, what would you say then? Try and take an interest in what's important. Avril Rolf has built that company up into what it is today. |
16 Oct 07 - 05:32 AM (#2172138) Subject: RE: BS: Dallas. UKTV Gold From: Backwoodsman The main reason I watch Howard's Way is that my ex-In-Laws lived, for many years, just a mile or two up the road from where it was filmed, so I get a kinda wierd kick watching for road-signs, pubs, houses etc. that I used to see while visiting. How's that for a saddo? Oh, and I fancy the Howards' daughter as well. |

I often wonder if Ellen MacArthur watched it, seeing as she lived so far away from the sea. I think theres fair bit about boats. Its set in a boat yard. heres something for bona fide fanatics:- http://www.zetaminor.com/cult/howards_way/howards_s1_guide.htm |

02 Nov 07 - 03:26 AM (#2184806) Subject: RE: BS: Dallas. UKTV Gold From: Liz the Squeak I've been enjoying the reruns of Tenko on UKTV History - last one today... missed it when it was on the BBC about 25 years ago. It looked like the sun always shone there but in reality only the first and last few episodes were filmed in Singapore and the islands - the majority of the series was filmed in a sand quarry in Dorset, not that far from where MonkeyWorld is now.
