This is for anyone who remembers Bully Wee from their original incarnation, or anyone who appreciates some cracking music and the obvious joy of the musos...Ian Cutler, Colin Reece, Fergus Feely and Jim Yardley

Last night's gig at The Barge Gillingham was sublime. Tonight (Tuesday)they will be in Amberley and will be at Faversham Folk Club on Wednesday. This is just a taster for more gigs in January. For more info check out their website

I haven't seen them since the 1970's. They were dazzlingly fast lead guitarists as I remember playing jigs and stuff. I saw them at the old Star Folk Club at the Communist club on the Ringway in Brum. The members of drowsy Maggie used to be resident there - sort of individually, not as Drowsy Maggie. Dave Philips, Mick Hipkess, sometimes Tommy Dempsey...don't remeber Clive there, or the other guitarist ....Pete Something. I bought a guitar case off him.

I still remember the fantastic, fabulous The Wicker Man, chock-full of folkie symbolism, with Ian Cutler playing the bar session fiddler! Ian was a very fine musician - href="http://www.bullyweeband.com/">Bully Wee website

Change that to Ian IS a very fine musician. Anyone who's seen him play Farewell to Ireland with Hot Rats knows he's fast but last night he was even faster and managed to pick up the keyboards Fergus knocked over and keep playing....!

Knew Fergus Feely from Matilda's folk club in London and then met band later in Germany, also Maarten. Great guys all--hope they come over here sometime.

The fabulous Bully Wee boys are gigging again. They don't often get together so don't miss the chance to see them this year.

They will be at Dartford Folk Club tomorrow (20th), The Brook Theatre Chatham on Thursday 22nd, Red Lion FC Birmingham 24th, Hitchin FC 25th and Nettlebed with Phil Beer on 26th.

For more details follow the links to their mySpace and website

I remember them well - am delighted to see they're gigging still/again. Please pass on my best to them. (Ask Fergus if he recalls sitting in Packie Manus' room in Kilburn eating porridge from Packie's giant blue & white bowl. Packie didn't offer that to just any old body . . .)

I remember `The Bully Wee` as the nickname of Clyde Football Club Glasgow.

Yep - we got that too. Great stuff. I think the lads may even have signed it, but I can't check because it's languishing in LP-No-Man's-Land at the moment, i.e. a giant box of albums I mean to burn to disc Someday. Probably get around to it the minute CDs die and are buried forever. Then I'll have twice as many recordings to convert to a new format. Oh, joy.

During the 2006 tour the Bully Wee Band recorded three of the shows and in July of that year released their first album for over 25 years entitled '50 Channels – Live'. The album features eight brand new, never before recorded Bully Wee Band songs and tunes along with seven Bully Wee Band favourites from their extensive 36 year repertoire. All given the band's unique 2006 live treatment.

Their 4 original albums and 50 Channels are available as a download complete, or track by track from itunes. Or you can buy 50 channels via their website

Good to see they're still going strong and sounding great. Shame they aren't coming to Scotland
