Winter draws on and Christmas is coming. Just the right time for bidding on this afghan made from yarn donated by Maeve.

I wasn't going to say how lovely this afghan is in case somebody bid against me but they've done that anyway! So...........

I haven't crotcheted anything for years but this has inspired me to get my books out again.

RE: I haven't crotcheted anything for years yes...this reeks of the loving hands of home....practice makes perfect.....not worthy of entry in the county fair but OK to throw onto an international market? Practice some more.

Garg - I do not have an ego that needs stroking with a win at a county fair. I am interested in making funds for the Mudcat, however. You will note, if you read the thread properly, that the quoted remark was not mine. However, if I have encouraged someone to take up a skill again then that is a bonus.

I too have seen the afghan live. It was crocheted (crotcheting is something completely differntt, eanjay LOL). If you have been to my home, you know that there are afghans everywhere. Great for a chilly night of TV watching.
This one is quite beautiful. My favorite colors - I was a Fall baby. heh heh

it's silly, but the Acrylic is actually OK for me. Mohair makes me sneeze and Wool is just baaaad. :-) I love chenille or that new stuff that is super super soft (don't know what it's called, though)
