They ahve won the Norwegian Spelmans prize At least once. When I first met stienar he played in a group in '68 called the, "young Norwegians". He's over 50 now. Their website is here English phonetic pronunciation is "Booking a bruiser" ie booking a boxer. Translation is "The bucking goat". And I mean bucking not f**king. Or do I? Good group enjoy Chas |

I'm glad to have a pronunciation here, and the additional information as well. The album I got is just titled after the group. I've played it several times already, and plan to get more of their albums. You have good taste in friends! (and music.) Zhenya |

From: Azizi Here's the blue clicky, open mike: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burkina_Faso And, since other people may be curious about the meaning of that African nation's name {as I was}, here's the etymology of that name: "Burkina Faso, also known by its short-form name Burkina, is a landlocked nation in West Africa. It is surrounded by six countries: Mali to the north, Niger to the east, Benin to the south east, Togo and Ghana to the south, and Côte d'Ivoire to the south west. Formerly called the Republic of Upper Volta, it was renamed on August 4, 1984, by President Thomas Sankara to mean "the land of upright people" in Moré and Dioula, the major native languages of the country. Literally, "Burkina" may be translated, "men of integrity," from the Moré language, and "Faso" means "father's house" in Dioula. Independence from France came in 1960" |
