Steve Earle I have a ticket for his Manchester show already. I think I spotted While & Mathews in the list, which will be new for them, and Bellowhead for whom it is a return. |

23 Jan 08 - 05:25 PM (#2243129) Subject: RE: Celtic Connections 2008 From: GUEST If you are at Celtic Connections, please come and say hello to the Celtic Music Radio team. You never know, you might end up getting interviewed on-air - we like to chat with performers and listeners! We're broadcasting 24x7, and are live from the festival from around 11am until 10pm every day. Our typical weekday schedule during the festival starts with a studio-based breakfast programme. Once we transfer down to the concert hall around 11, we have "Festival Focus"; music and chat with performers and guests. At 12.30, we broadcast the "Ian Anderson in conversation" series. Following that, we have Gordon Hotchkiss's show, which has various pre-arranged and ad-hoc performances from the stage, and lots of good music. We then cover the "Danny Kyle Open Stage" from 5-7 - half a dozen new and upcoming bands and performers every night. It's then back to the studio for a while, and then over to the Universal in Sauchiehall Lane from 8pm until 10pm, to cover the "Songs of Scotland" shows. Sorry if this sounds a bit like a commercial - it's not meant to be! We're keen to meet the performers and visitors. If you're a performer, leave a CD and we'll give you some airplay - maybe even an interview... Bruce www.celticmusicradio.net and 1530kHz in Central Scotland. |
