Lyr Req: Knight William (Young Tradition)

Bone idleness on my part. I could transcribe the words of the Young Tradition version of Knight William from the CD but if it exists ready-transcribed it would save labour.

That version does not appear to be in the DT althought he version that are there have a number of verses the same but some different and other variations.

A very quick google seems not to find it either.

Has anynoe got those words to hand?

I don't have that particular Young Tradition recording, Richard - but I think their version is one of several that Snuffy posted on this thread (click). Amazon says the album is out of print and for sale for $36 - but the Young Tradition CD that I DO have, is for sale for $157.

Yep, it's the first of Snuffy's, thanks. I should have searched the forum as well as the digitrad.

I tried to manage (unaccompanied - well, Norman and his bodhran)without the words tonight and although I still finished in the same key as I started (always a good sign) one or two verses had to be improvised on the fly, rather to the detriment of the rhyme scheme and scansion!

Once I get the guitar part (my invention, obviously not from the YT) off it's going to be good.
