Folk Dickens 2nd and 4th Thursdays (UK)

Very nice night tonight, not many singers and players but significantly more punters and the other half of the bar (the restaurant side) quite busy and I heard some diners being very complimentary about the food, so if you are a foodie, come on a folking Thursday, sit the other side and enjoy the food and the wafting music!

FIrst time down for John Matthews, and he was in wonder at the acoustics (and some of the harmony bits really did sound nice)

Unfortunatly, these evenings were advertised in the press, both localy and nationaly, as first and last Thursday. This month there are 5 Thursdays. We will be gathering next Thursday and from then on it will be 2nd and 4th Thursdays.

I have spoken to Kevin, the chief poobar of Dickens World, he assures me that the advertising will be changed. We have agreed to honour the 5th Thursday in this month, i.e. next Thursday and there after as advertised

Pooh-Bah is derived from Gilbert and Sullivan. He was the high caste Japanese in the Mikado.

Thanks Simon. Couldn't be helped. Paul Steele tured up there too. We all ended up back at Orpington and enjoyed the singers night. Shall I take it off my website?
