BS: wanna do a national practical joke?

What do you have to do? Just send an email and/or drop a line of gossip.

What could it do? It will send the time honored folly of daylight savings time into chaos.

This week daylight savings time has been postponed one week and we are told to NOT set our clocks back one hour.

Sooo it occured to me that when next friday noon rolls around, wecould send an email or link that informs people that daylight savings time WILL AGAIN BE POSPONED ONE WEEK.

In an era of fake press, fake demonstrations at Florida vote recount offices, fake news, fake religious dogma, fake democracy and fake home of the brave free speech... we could all do our bit to expand the divide between those who arbitrarily set rules and the sheep who obey them.

LISTEN carefully, In an appeal the Supreme court ruled in favor of FOX news that it is perfectly legal to dispense knowingly FALSE and/or FALSE NEWS.
AS A RESULT , Journalists who were told they would be fired if they ever told anybody about the poison milk that Monsanto Corporation was selling were fired and lost their bid for Whistle blowing status

THis is not yelling fire in a theatre

Sending email announcments as well as constructing some "informative websites is all that is needed.

Should this "demonstration" have a national effect the reason and authorship for this "fake news" should be revealed.

We could even have a fake press conference to discuss the reason why we postponed daylight savings time one more week.

Hmmm. On a smaller scale, I recall that the student body in a high school somewhere invented a fake female senior who was such a great achiever that she ended up getting elected president of the student council and valedictorian....but she never existed.

Accordingly, she did not show up to give the valedictory address! ;-)

And the sheep were in a great state of confusion....but not nearly so great as that of the shepherds!

Daylight saving is bloody stupid anyway - it was dark at 4:45pm in the south east today.

"Daylight saving" is a practical joke carried out on us all by our governments. And it really is an extraordinary silly name to give it. "Daylight saving" - surely that should mean we could bottle it so that we could have sunshine in the depths of winter.

My favorite idea along these lines was when John Glenn was back in orbit, and the email was going around saying Psst - let's all dress in ape suits when he comes back - pass it on!

Back in 1917 when this stupid idea got taken up in Britain, while people's attentions were largely elsewhere, one of those opposed to it was Lord Balfour, who had a few years ago been Prime Minister, with a rather intriguing objection, speaking in the House of Lords:

"Supposing some unfortunate lady was confined with twins and one child was born 10 minutes before 1 o'clock. ... the time of birth of the two children would be reversed. ... Such an alteration might conceivably affect the property and titles in that House."

So you could be older than your older brother... I wonder how they have worked round that problem.

That idea with John Glenn and the ape suits is wonderful! LOL! Imagine the look on his face when they opened the capsule...
