It's hard enough to choose between all the ones that clash!! We get to quite a few I reckon - a quick count of this years diary shows 26 with 3 still to go before Christmas. Boy am I knackered..... |

Even as a 'person of leisure' these days it would probably take me about 6 years to get to all the English ones, as some weekends there are 6 to choose from plus I would also need a big Lottery win - then I could organise 'singers festivals' whenever I wanted and also start up an Old Folkies Retirement Village! |

I remember the exact figure being quoted by Mike Harding a couple of years ago, and being reiterated last year by Steve Heap at the Association of Festival Organisers conference. Though I can't recall the exact figure, I remember thinking at the time that Antigua claims to have 365 beaches - one for every day of the year - while England has a folk festival for every day of the year! |

They have villages for golfers who want to live on a golf course. For what ever reason. So a bunch of cottages and some oldie woldie pubs selling 6x with great big roaring fires and folk clubs and a great big wall around it all to keep all the muggles out. Great. |
