The Dean of Women at Middlebury College called Kris (Mischuck) into the office to warn her that freshman women dating senior men usually worked out badly, and maybe she should not concentrate on one man this early in her college career.

That was in 1962.

Oh, well done...!

By the by, I've been threatening to divorce myself for decades now...or just walk out, but "we" are still together. It's amazing, really.

Nobody told me in 1970 that I shouldn't be dating a faculty member...so I did and eventually married her. Some said it couldn't last, and it's only been going on for the last 34 years so we're still unsure.

LH ... if you ever do divorce or splitup I hope you do it in an amicable process.

I have never heard of amicable schizophrenic precipitating events, but I suppose it could happen. You just wake up and say, "Oh, I'm not feeling myself today. Oh! There he is, over there...".

Good one Amos

LH ... I think it would be best if you 'stay together', for the sake of Chongo and your dachsund ... the custody battle could be very messy if not extremely confusing.

Congratulations! My older brother married my sister in law while they were both students, much to everyone else's concern ...that was 37 years ago. Meanwhile my parents have just celebrated 60 years together.
We're quite pleased to have achieved 3 years so far ...
