I think Dick Cheney, Condoleeza (sp?) Rice, Alberto Gonzalez all get a mention. I'll try to remember to give it a listen and report back tomorrow if no one else writes in in the meantime. As far as I can make out, the words are A-Wolfowitz, a-Wolfowitz, a-Wolfowitz, a-Wolfowitz, ... Alberto Gonzalez, Alberto Gonzalez, Alberto Gonzalez, Alberto Gonzalez ... Dick Cheney, Dick Cheney, Dick Cheney, Dick. ... In the White House, the whiny White House, the liar sleeps tonight ... Oo-oo-oo-oo, Condoleeza Rice and Karl Rove, Oo-oo-oo-oo, Condoleeza Rice and Karl Rove ... but that doesn't really tell you what it sounds like, and I'm not up to constructing a representation of how to fit the notes and timing. Each line comes in after the previous one has been repeated a few times, using one or another of the riffs familiar from The Lion Sleeps Tonight, and once it's in each line continues pretty much to the end of the track, just going to the background when the next line comes in. I think you have to hear it to get the picture. There are some other useful tracks on the CD. I played The Most Polite City In The World on my radio program last Saturday. |
