Just don't let us catch you doing it again. (grin) It's interesting that there were two requests for this song this month, and none before that in the entire history of Mudcat. That happens quite often, and I wonder why. I think maybe you and the other requester were listening to the same radio program - or maybe it's some sort of X-Files thing and songs float in the ether for a while once they're played and affect even those who don't hear the songs directly. -Joe Offer- |

Is that in the data base? I never thought much about it then. I heard it on TV everynight. Then came the note from the teacher......my son was singing it during music class. If I get out of hand here let me know. Some of this I just think is funny and this thread just made me think of it. Thank you Laura for the fun memory |

Hey, I was trying to think of a new song to do at our song circle tonight.... No, better not. That kind of humor seems to go over fairly well here at Mudcat, although there are varying levels of raunchiness among us. The people who are uncomfortable with raunchiness just stay away from it. But I don't think people in our "family song circle" would be too happy. The kind of humor that doesn't work here is humor that is unkind, especially if it is a personal attack on somebody here. That doesn't happen very often, but personal attacks can be deadly in a forum like this - they make everybody feel bad. But it you want raunchy, that's another matter. Search the database for @bawdy and you'll come up with all our songs in the bawdy category. I have to admit that until Laura explained it, I didn't catch on that "Naughty Sweetie" was about venereal disease. I'm kinda slow in the double entendre area. -Joe Offer- |
