BS: wot net not?

Any crafty people out there?
I've got a load of baler twine and I want to make a net patch, to mend a big hole in my flock net (shouldn't have loaded it onto the wheelbarrow without checking it wasn't tangled in the wheel). My chickens keep escaping.
So I started by cutting the bits into horizontals and verticals (warp and weft), then googled for the knot to use.
I found there were 2 kinds of net - single strand and multi strand. Single strand net needs a sheet bend knot, and is made using one continuous piece of string wound on a netting needle.
I'm not sure if multi strand means lots of bits of string, and if it so what knot I'll use. I thought the loose ends would be useful for tieing it in to the existing net.

You need a netting needle, and a lot of patience.
Some instructions can be found here.
Giok

Match the existing net. If it's chicken wire then it will be twisted together at each join. If it's square mesh wire it is usually woven.

Oh, but if it's internet then you don't stand a chance of fixing it ;-)

No it's plastic cord, electric, but I don't use a battery (cos I don't eat battery eggs). Hence the baler twine
