The council needs to get a measure of the amount of support and affection which surrounds this festival - so now is the time for all good folkies to come to the aid of the festival!! PLEASE write to the council and the local press hhelme@lancaster.gov.uk - mayor and Glasson councillor sue.riley@lancasterguardian.co.uk - local press phil.fleming@lancaster.newsquest.co.uk - local press Suggestions :- the national (international) reputation it has, having put lancaster on the map. - personal stories of why it is so special to those who attend and why they want to keep coming. - anything else that might help persuade the councillors to take control and reverse the decision not to stage this successful and popular festival. - the great work done by all the production team - who seem to work for 4 days without sleep!
