15 Nov 07 - 09:48 AM (#2194357) Subject: BS: 'Rush to post' ? From: Roger the Skiffler These days I read fewer and fewer threads (lack of patience and over-active bullsh*t detector) but it seems that in the ones I do look at that we are quicker to post these days- it takes only a couple of days for a thread to have 50+ posts. Leadfingers looks out for post #100 on a thread so he might have a view on this. Are we all rushing to post without thinking first? (I know I've always been foot in mouth before checking facts properly,I'm trying to hold back now, honestly.)* RtS * (that's probably why my threads either attract zero interest or a raft of clever dicks pointing out the errors in my knowledge and opinions!) |

From: Amos IT doesn't take very long to think through the depth of the average thread in these parts; so I submit that is not the reason for more posts faster. More likely, I would guess, is an increasing population of posters in the same time continuum. If we were to expand the time continuum, or expel all posters who have arrived since your earlier data-point, the phenomenon would go away. A |
