Bairns Are Coming Home and El Dorado. Both songs were fantastic and perhaps a Mudcatter could tell me mote about either one. Ian is singing in Bremen tonight....what a good performer! Albert |

I have been to two or three concerts when he was playing in Germany and I was still living there. I have about 4 CDs from him and I love them! He is also playing with a guy named Victor, but I think they only do this duo in Germany cause Victor used to live in Northern Germany. I can highly recommend this artist and songwriter!!! He also has a website where you can find his tour dates Ian Bruce Website |

I try to hear him once a year, and he is never less than very good. Even the year he arrived over an hour late, after being stopped and forbidden to drive on by German motorway police for insufficient profile on his car tyres! Must have made him feel a bit harrassed, but it didn't show. He sometimes does gigs in Germany with Vic Besch, singer and piper from Swansea iirr but now living in the Bremen area. |

18 Nov 07 - 05:29 AM (#2196555) Subject: RE: Ian Bruce in Pontardawe From: GUEST,Folkmar Metz Hi everyone, I am a big fan of Ian's. My favourite CD of his is "Jigs, Jives and Jacobites", as I think he is at his best when listened to live. As I downloaded the album from his website, I don't have the lyrics. Does anyone have the lyrics of "Where should I go", the first track of the album? I have tried to find them on the net but without success. I would be very thankful if anybody could post them here. Thanks in advance, Folkmar Metz |

20 Nov 07 - 04:09 AM (#2198079) Subject: RE: Ian Bruce in Pontardawe From: Drumshanty "Coming Home" was writ by Steven Clark, aka Mudcat's Scabby Douglas. It's a fine fine song, and Ian B does it brilliantly. The lyrics are here and Mr Clark has a version on his MySpace page. |

21 Nov 07 - 10:16 PM (#2199657) Subject: Add Lyr: Where I Should Go From: Susanne (skw) WHERE I SHOULD GO (Ian Bruce) Chorus: I wanna know where I should go. It seems I have no way of knowin'. Oh where is my bed? Oh where is my head? Oh and where the hell am I going? Two forward, one back, One forward, two back. Three forward, three back where I started. Steps to the side knock me off my stride. Pin me to the spot where I'm spinnin' around. I am me. It's all I can be. I know what I want but can't go there. Things people say just stand in my way. Pin me to the spot where I'm spinnin' around. I'll be no star. I won't go so far, But pweople they still try to own me. Don't do that, do this. Take care who you kiss. Pin me to the spot where I'm spinnin' around. I'm just a man With no master plan. I try very hard to hurt no one. So why should they care how I wear my hair? Can't they just take me as they find me? |

The lyrics of Jigs Jives and Jacobites are in the cover. So they are easy to find. Well maybe 2008 is shaping up. I just need another couple of million folks like the previous writers and I'll be delighted. (and possibly rich!) Cheers all. Happy New Year |
