NS Power has sucked mightily since they privatized it. If it is windy, I fully expect to be in the dark and flushing with a bucket, and I hate it. We have 'Juan Anxiety Syndome' out here, where we went for up to two weeks with no electricity. We made out all right, with wood and propane and a lake ten metres away, but a lot of people, seniors in particular, are totally dependent on power for heat, cooking and water. |

In Ireland they just say, "The day's a bit fresh." I'm with littlehawk on this one. I'd like it alot better if it only rained at night. Can someone please arrange this? The various splashes in the puddles can be mesmerizing. Colors are much richer during and after a rain. I get annoyed at TV weatherfolks who seem to assume that it can only be nice when it is 80 (27c) and sunny. I also like a good blizzard as long as I don't have to go anywhere. Don't get me wrong, 80 and sunny is good, too, but I like a variety. |
