BS: A Visit to the Galapagos

My friend and boss, Mark, traveled last spring to the Galapagos
Islands, on a tour that included Richard Dawkins amongst the ship's company as lecturer.

There are a lot of photos, but if you have the patience, there are some that are just
absolutely sturning. Some of them are confusing until you realize
that he also did some underwater photography.

Anyway, in case this is interesting to anyone, you can see them here:

I loved them. especially the ones later in the slide show.

Yu may need to click a thumbnail at the bottom of the window to get
the slide to to get going. The slideshow is long and reloops to the begining in Quito, Ecuador.

Amos-

One of my long time friends Peter Puliston is a guide on one of these eco-tours.

Very nice photos!

Amd no iguana or tortoise was harmed.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble

I'd love to see them, but couldn't get it to work.

Thanks, Amos!

I've sent the link to my Dad, especially so he can see the Galapagos. He served as 1st Mate on Texaco tankers during WWII. The only time he was ever in the Pacific was one trip through the Panama Canal to deliver fuel oil to the Galapagos. It was also the only place he was ever able to go ashore, since the Merchant Marines didn't have security clearance to go ashore in European ports.

He still talks about the experience.
