Most audio that I play on my PC uses the Windows default player instead. Perhaps these particular recordings require the QuickTIme player (which is avalable free of charge, or at least was when I got mine, and which does not require Apple equipment to be used.) Sound quality is disapointing, I'm sorry to report. The first selection is especially noisy for the first 20 seconds or so, but even after the really bad problem clears up, the performances sounds very distant and the lyrics are difficlt to decipher. |

With respect, we are talking the early fifties, with the recording done on a wire recorder....(would love to play with one) I think it's astonishing that it has survived at all, after 50 plus years. I don't think Dolby 5.1 was available then. Just be glad that it has been made available after all these years. Whatever the quality. Ralph |
