May 17, Pete Seeger, Michael Moore, Christine Lavin, Guy Davis, Tom Chapin and other friends of JUST HEALTHCARE/JUST UNION are doing a benefit for the New York Metro Labor Party's JUST Healthcare Campaign. For the benefit of any NY mudcatters, it will be at: Symphony Space 2537 Broadway (at 95th).

Pete just turned 80, as noted in other postings, and is still fighting injustice...the place where many of us see injustice in our lives is accessing healthcare.Sing shout or scream for JUST Healthcare, and listen to a national broadcast for same, June 6, Noon EST. on many NPR stations. if yours is not carrying it...ask 'em to!

JUST heard about the Just Healthcare campaign this weekend at a great May Day event. Will be watching for details. Wish I could make it to NYC for that concert. Heard if anyone is carrying a broadcast of it??

Susan,

I wish I could say that the concert is being broadcast... but unfortunately, it appears from my corner of the world that there may be some effort to make sure that few radio stations pick up the June 6 broadcast....

Interesting article [infuriating, really] on the misuse of people's music by politicians who've been expressly refused permission to (ab)use their work...
