Boston's Green Briar slow session makes news

Subject: Boston's Green Briar slow session makes
From: Barry Finn

The Green Briar pub in Boston's Brighton section of the city has been going on for around 17 or so yrs. Prior to that it was held at the Old Village Coach House, before it was sold, in Brookline just over the border from the Jamacia Plain/Roxbury area of Boston at least since the early 70's where many of the Irish musicians before that played the Dudley Street Irish dance halls since the 40's & 50's some of whom still play at the Green Briar.
The session at the Green Briar starts at 9:00 pm & goes till closing & you'll find it's one of the few sessions that encourages singing & dancing. But there's a session that starts earlier prior to the regular session & that's the one this article on this Slow Session is about. Just thought I'd put it up for any that are interested.
