That was a pity Martin had his good points. I'm sure they would have liked each other. D'you remember jOhn's plan to become a hamster millionaire? Selling hamsters who couldn't stop screwing and reproducing to medical research laboratories. I only met him the night I played his folk club. Total bloody shambles, the pub was being repaired and they fitted us into a room about the size of a cardboard box. But it was just a great experience meeting this character who had made me laugh so loud and so often. A comic genius in the mold of Spike Milligan and John Lennon. I do hope he is well and happy wherever he is. |
