08 Jan 08 - 05:27 PM (#2231503) Subject: Harry Boardman Documentary on Music Well From: Mark Dowding The programme about Lancashire folk pioneer Harry Boardman that Chris Harvey and myself have been busy with over the last few months is now available to listen to on www.themusicwell.co.uk People taking part in this documentary are: Baz Barker, Alan Bell, Chris Cole, Mark Dowding Mike Harding, Chris Harvey Pollington, John Howarth Mary Humphreys, Gerry Kearns, Bill Leader Roy Palmer, Brian Peters and Bernard Wrigley The narrator is Ali O'Brien We recorded 8 or 9 hours of interviews with people and managed to whittle it down to about 45 minutes with music by Harry making up the hour. Chris and I hope you'll have a listen and let us know what you think. Harry died 20 years ago and we feel that this is a fitting tribute to him. We hope you agree. Cheers Mark |

It's a thoroughly professional documentary and equals anything that BBC Radio 4 might achieve. Apart from the professional production it makes a suitable and long overdue tribute to a very special man. Thank you all. Johnny Adams |

(Daft question but it's the sort of thing that people forget!) Have another go Cheers Mark |
