I'll fish around my postings for it and let you know, but it did get a little off the point. I was diagnosed with BVP a few years ago. I try to avoid getting into positions where it will trip - lying back in a moving chair does it for me and I throw up rather spectacularly.... usually over the dentist. Be a bit more aware of your movements and try to make a note of what you were doing when it tripped. Then you can slowly work around the problem, like, chewing gum whilst in a lift - it can work for some people. LTS |

Medication (Antivert) helped but I was warned that the symptoms would return and they do periodically but fortunately only minor bouts. The first made it impossible for me to drive. Everytime I turned my head, the world spun. Fun. As Liz suggested - be aware of what triggers the spinning and then avoid it. |

Perhaps it is only an anurism that gets pinched when I crane my neck upwards. A MRI should be able to see somehing like that. |

I finally got to where I trust that when it happens, I just need to close one eye (if driving) or two (if not) and relax it away until I can get the glasses re-aligned. ~S~ |
