08 May 99 - 11:39 AM (#76712) Subject: WCBN Radio in Ann Arbor From: harpgirl Hi all, May I recommend the student station in Ann Arbor for folk music? I am listening to it right now and it is a funky Celtic show. Lots of interesting folk and blues shows on this station. Art can probably also tell stories about being on the station when he gets back from Mayo...harpgirl in south florida |

08 May 99 - 12:26 PM (#76723) Subject: RE: WCBN Radio in Ann Arbor From: John Hindsill Harpgirl-- Thanks for turning me on to this site & time. Listening to it as I type (Doc Watson (?)"House of the Rising Son"). Unfortunately it conflicts with John Davis' Heartfelt Music on KPFK, local LA station. Oh well, can monitor both. Thanks again--John |
08 May 99 - 01:16 PM (#76725) Subject: RE: WCBN Radio in Ann Arbor From: Sandy Paton I'm pleased to know that John Davis still does his show on KPFK. Caroline and I were having dinner at his place one evening, many years ago, and Caroline (an Adelle Davis nut at that time) started dishing out a handful of assorted vitamins for me. John's eyes widened in horror. "Oh, no!" he groaned. Then he discovered they were only vitamins, not some of the other pill varieties people were fond of gulping down in Southern California, and heaved a great sigh of relief. Sandy |

Too bad you aren't in Michigan today, you could join Blessings Barbara, Cap'n Bob and I for a singaround up at Higgins Lake. I just love this station, but I better get packin. Mick |
24 Jul 99 - 10:57 AM (#98839) Subject: RE: WCBN Radio in Ann Arbor From: harpgirl Have a great time Mick. Give my regards to Barbara and Cap't Bob. I'm envious. It's going to be a scorcher here today again and I would love to be in Michigan by a blue spruce tree. Wish I didn't have to catch up on running my business. I feel like I'm chained to the computer. Maybe tomorrow we can go springhopping... harpgirl |
