Just heard that many of Irelands best musicians and singers have come together in Windmill Lane studios to record a tribute to Ronnie. The song is co. written by Robert Hunter, best known for his work with The Gratefull Dead, and Bono of U2. Artists taking part include, U2, Robert Hunter, Sinead o Connor, Christy Moore, The Pogues, Bob Geldoff, Paul Brady, Chris de Burgh, The Corrs, The Dubliners, The Chieftains, and many more. Ronnie is said to be surprised and very touched by the song, all proceeds go to cancer research. Ronnie has been having treatment for cancer for some time. The song is due for release in early March. |
