25 Jan 08 - 05:25 AM (#2244294) Subject: Duncan McFarlane Gainsborough UK 1st Feb From: BusyBee Paul Gainsborough Folk Club has a guest at the next club night on 1st Feb 2008. I'm sure that Sooz will get the Permathread active again shortly, but to hopefully tempt a few more people: Duncan McFarlane will be doing a "solo" slot, ably assisted 'on the fiddle' by Anne Brivonese. Normal venue, Melrose Club on Melrose Road, Gainsborough. Doors open at 8.30pm. Tickets £5 (£3 for paid up folk club members). So, for a rare chance to see Mudcat's Hipflask Andy without his electric folk rock band, get yourself along to Gainsborough!. Deirdre |

25 Jan 08 - 04:13 PM (#2244860) Subject: RE: Duncan McFarlane Gainsborough UK 1st Feb From: BusyBee Paul Hi Les, The Rakish Young Fellow has special dispensation to travel across the water to us here in sunny Gainsborough!. It's a good job he is bringing Anne the Fiddle with him or else he might take exception to your phrase "havin local lasses and lads"! I can't think of many sheep around here for him to steal but we do have our own Villan - he just has to provide the rogues. I think life will get very exciting on 1st Feb - why don't you join us Les and add to the fun?! I can always tidy up the Woodshed for you. Tamborines and dominoes optional. Pirate dress not required. :-) |
