I received several positive replies, so we went ahead with it. There were 6 of us at my house, and we had a variety of songs, from traditional to Tin-Pan-Alley. We could easily have doubled the size of the group, but it is cold/flu season, and some folks were under the weather and couldn't come. I think this is worth trying again. March 5th looks like a good date-- early enough to avoid conflict with St. Pat's day-- and we'll start at 8pm. Let me know if you're interested. If you've got a song that you want to sing, come and sing it. It'll be as simple as that. If you want to share the lyrics/music and teach it to us, that would be great. I live in Royal Oak (Catalpa-Woodward area). PM me for directions. |
