Will be in Auld Reekie this weekend and stood down on Sunday.
Any suggestions where to look for sessions?

Sandy Bells Scottish session 4-8 (the one I go to)
Sandy Bells Irish session 8-12
Royal Oak singing session 4-8 (?)
Wee Folk Club at the Royal Oak 8-11

Pick up a copy of the Gig Guide at Bells and that'll tell you what else is on.

We are there for along weekend at the end of July. Apart from the Jazz and Blues festival what should we be on the lookout for?

The Jazz Festival is dire. A showcase for British has-beens who never were.   It only survives because any jazz event in Scotland gets propped up by public money. (The Glasgow Jazz Festival has always been *much* better).

Look at www.tmsa.info for traditional music festivals in Scotland. There might be one near enough to Edinburgh and near enough to that weekend to fit the bill.

sapper82, with a voice like that you really need to find a singing session while you're up here.

I think either Balerno FC or Penicuik FC meets this Tuesday but I can't find up-to-date details for either. Tattie Bogle knows about Balerno.

(sapper82 came to Bell's this afternoon, and would be welcome back any time).
