Lyr Req: from stuie - oh little laddie

Subject: Lyr Req: Words to a possible Jordie song.
From: GUEST,Stuie

Hi, I'm looking for the words to a song which is possibly a Jordie one. I think part of the chorus is something like - "oh little laddie, my bonny laddie ?????? if you were still on the tyne, you'd be all mine, but now you're far over the sea". Any help would be appreciated.

Stuie.

You can find the song (words and music) here on Conrad Bladey's Beuk O' Newcassel Sangs: Robson's Sandgate Lasses Lament.

I thought I had a version of this at home somewhere, because I'm sure someone I know sings it (Barry and Ingrid Temple maybe?), but I couldn't find a copy at a quick look.

Cheers Mick - fantastic! I've heard a couple of musicians from the folk group Scarlet Heights sing this song and it's fab.

Many Thanks, Stuie.
