Today the stats on my websites now tell me that Songs are getting 6 YES SIX times more hits than tunes. So sell yer Bodrahn and join choir because soon all that diddley will be more boring to you than a senile while bluesman playing an electric guitar in a retirement home! 05 Feb 08 - 01:15 PM (#2254208) Subject: RE: BS: I'm even more bored today-songs over tunes From: Joe Offer I'm not sure why your thread was deleted yesterday. Your're welcome to participate in discussion here, as long as you're not combative or a Spammer. I prefer songs with lyrics most of the time - so I guess, for once, I'm with the majority. -Joe Offer- |

I too prefer songs to tunes but thoroughly enjoy watching and listening to musicians jamming. Have to admit - I glaze over when the diddly diddly repetitive stuff goes on and on. The musicians seem to enjoy it. gordon Bok does some wonderful instrumental stuff on his CDs. Pure joy. |

06 Feb 08 - 08:26 AM (#2254872) Subject: RE: BS: I'm even more bored today-songs over tunes From: GUEST,Ian cookieless Yes, Dave, I suppose all of life boils down in the end to likes, dislikes and preferences. Prefering songs to tunes, though, is hardly on the same level as prefering torture to peace or prefering fascism to democracy. It seemed to me, and this is what I was implicitly trying to point to, that Schlongbow's language was designed to inflame: "Yesterday bored by Joe Schlocker\'s silly deleting ... soon all that diddley will be more boring to you than a senile while bluesman playing an electric guitar in a retirement home! You read this newsflash at Mudcat". Hardly language designed to promote a sensible debate. |
