12 Feb 08 - 02:04 PM (#2260577) Subject: seeking pix 50's folk music parties From: Suzy T. Hi folks, I'm looking for photos of folk music parties from the 1950s or early 1960s -- photos that highlight the "party" aspect in addition to the "folk music" aspect would be ideal! This is for an upcoming documentary film about the New Lost City Ramblers -- I know, I've already posted requests several times but they were so successful, I decided to post again!!! Also looking for photos of international folk dancing from the late 40s or early 50s -- not folk dance troupes with costumes, but recreational dancing by people in their regular clothes. Nothing will be used without proper permission and credit. If you have any of these things, or can suggest where to find them, please either post here or send me a message. Many thanks to those who have responded to my earlier requests -- Mudcat is a wonderful resource! Suzy Thompson |

And, I was able to find the folk dance stuff I was looking for. But -- still searching for party pix from the 1950s (or early 60s) that give the feeling of a folk music party, with the emphasis on PARTY! I kinda feel like the FBI might not be very forthcoming with assistance- or perhaps all too forthcoming ;-) Suzy |
