03 Mar 08 - 08:53 PM (#2278849) Subject: RE: Upcoming Maine folk shows From: Charley Noble The facility at Longfellow Square is now under new management. It's a really nice place for showcasing performers. I believe there is room for about a hundred people. I'd certainly be interested in hearing Bill Morrisey sing again, and Garnet Rogers, and Kevin Burke. I should probably mention that Roll & Go will be performing this Sunday for the third time at Andy's Old Port Pub, from 5 to 8 pm. Admission is free but the management would appreciate it if the audiance would order something to drink and eat. We'll do 3 sets of traditional and contemporary sea music, without a repeat. Cheerily, Charley Noble |

Probably the best interpreter of traditional Scotish song in the world. Also a fine songwriter in the genre. Plus Gerry O'Beirne's excellent accompaniment. How lucky we are. If you have not heard Andy before, I would encourage everyone in the Southern Maine and New Hampshire regions not to miss this oportunity. |

One Longfellow Square is indeed one of the nicer places in New England to see an acoustic act, a warm listening room with professional sound and lighting, a full bar and space for about 200.
