BS: McCain and smeg

Subject: BS: McCain and smeg
From: melodeonboy

No, not, as it happens, a reference to the new Republican leader in America, but to the McCain chips advert on the Yahoo home page which asks us to click to win a new Smeg freezer (!!!!). Is there a connection between McCain chips and smeg?????

Comments, please!

Of course there is a connection - one makes frozen chips and the other is a freezer company.

SMEG is Smalterie Metallurgiche Emillane Guastalla, one of Italy's largest manufacturers of appliances. They sell worldwide, with branches in UK and Australia. They are often billed as leading the industry in design and aesthetics; their ranges are especially well-known but the simple, retro-style fridges were what originally made them known. In America, the name Omega is used for some if not all of their ranges and sinks. In America, showrooms are planned, but some premium appliance stores already have their products.

I tried looking them up, Catsp.., but couldn't find any company by that name making appliances.

Miass (Russia), a company that makes weather predictions.

But how about these women from Miass, Russia?
Look through these selections. Just the honey for you!

If you don't like it in red, you can always get it in Red White and Blue. (Looks like a coffin with a flag draped over it, doesn't it?)

Humble apologies oh master, I did not notice you had been there before me. They do say that 'great minds think alike', but there is also the second line to that old saw, and that is, 'but fools seldom differ'.

The red, white, and blue one is 859 pounds, but I imagine that shipping will add significantly to the total cost.

Heh... I should have done it this way - the price is £859.00.

Or maybe 859lbs..........or you could do it 859# as well. Or you could just say it is a whole fockin' lot too much for a shitty looking freezer with a Union Jack on it. I think that would work best for me............

This is excellent. The refrigeration industry had not really addressed the longstanding problem of keeping smegma from 'going bad' before its due date. It has quite a limited shelf life. (Just ask Shane...) But now they have addressed the problem, and John McCaine is no doubt standing foursquare in support of this useful iniative.

At least I hope he is.

I want to see one of those fridges with the Star and Stripes motif, and I trust that McCaine will see to it ASAP.

I would also suggest that George W. Bush be interred in such a fridge at whatever time he leaves this world, said fridge to be placed upright in a tomb in Arlington National Cemetery, of course, as an inspiration to future generations.
