Hi all,

Heading over to Cork at the end of the summer for my first taste of an Irish festival! Could only see old threads (circa 2003) about this festival - has anyone been recently? What can I expect?! (Having only been a visitor of English Bromyard/Warwick type festivals...)

Look forward to your replies!

M

It's an excellent festival, I've been quite a few times:

I attended in 2004. Saw Capercaillie, Jackie Daly and Johnny Moynihan, and others. Great craic!

It's spread out over numerous venues in Cork City, so be prepared to do some hoofing.

Cheers,
Michael

I almost headbutted Bert Jansch (accidentally I hasten to add) in the English Market in 2004. Great festival.
