Very tasty. I'm not a Volks freak (although I always liked the look of this seried Karmann-Ghia - but not as pretty as the early Renault Floride or Caravelle) but...

Woudn't the double-universal-joint rear suspension from the 1303S fit in? It would have been a theoretically better rear end, and I think the later gearbox and clutch from the 1303S might have suited the engine better.

But nice, all the same...

That's a lovely vehicle, Bobert..I'm a VW fan from wayback
(mine's a bus--waiting patiently for its engine to come home)

Can't keep pets where I live. I think they'd definitely baulk if I asked to keep a lizard. Sorry, Bobert.

I had a 1958 Karmann Ghia and it was one fun little car.

Yeah, the '58s were real nice... I liked the sloped down front fenders and the grill covers and those tailights... The splitcase trannies were a pain with leaks but other than that, great car...

BTW, my Geero has hit the "reserve" in just 2 days so looks like it's gonna be bye, bye...

Here it is.

You did set a low reserve. Here's hoping they get hopping on this one!

I wish I did, Tweezer... I loved that car... Sniff... The P-Vine made me get rid of it... Said that it was hurtin' my image, 'er somethin'... I didn't know I had an image but apparently she thinks I do... I sold it to Donnie "I'm a Drunk"s cousin fir a couple hunnert bucks 'cause the boy needed a car to get him to work at the door factory...

I remember when I picked you up at the Memphis airport and ity had just turned 200K...'Er was it 300K???

No matter, it was a bluesmobile, fir sure...

No, it was him hyperventilating from having to wear a bag over his head so people wouldn't know he was being driven around Mississippi in such a junker...
