I'm not a Volks freak (although I always liked the look of this seried Karmann-Ghia - but not as pretty as the early Renault Floride or Caravelle) but... Woudn't the double-universal-joint rear suspension from the 1303S fit in? It would have been a theoretically better rear end, and I think the later gearbox and clutch from the 1303S might have suited the engine better. But nice, all the same... |

I liked the sloped down front fenders and the grill covers and those tailights... The splitcase trannies were a pain with leaks but other than that, great car...
