I was shocked at some of the inappropriate behavior exhibited by some peeps within the library. I was also saddened by the demise of the peeps cruelly crushed by the lid of the photocopy machine; I hope a safety feature has been added. Cheerily, Charley Noble |

24 Mar 08 - 09:12 PM (#2296931) Subject: RE: BS: Easter Peep Show From: Charley Noble Well, there was a quality response to this thread if not a quantity response. I had a lot of fun hiding the peeps on Easter day. One was in my wife's sugar bowl, one under a Kleenex on her mouse pad, and one under her hat. All were eventually found during her process of routine activities. However, my wife's comment was that "Splanda Peeps" were an entirely different species than regular sugar peeps. I have to admit that she was correct; the sugar ones are much softer. Cheerily, Charley Noble |

26 Mar 08 - 12:11 AM (#2297759) Subject: RE: BS: Easter Peep Show From: Stilly River Sage I love that little library peeps page. I'm glad they've left it up. The librarian scolding the peeps looks very much like the associate director of our library. :) (Today I did her a favor, but the kind that is a little frustrating for the recipient. She called me into her office and pointed at this little text box that had disengaged itself from her Outlook email. It was sitting off to the right and at the top of the screen. She couldn't get it to go back in line and kept hitting the wrong buttons that were now where the old walkabout buttons used to be. "Can you put that back?" I clicked her mouse on the blue bar and dragged it about 3/4 inch and it popped into the line where it should be. It was one of those things that if you don't know about dragging by the blue bar it will drive you nuts, and as I left the room she said "you don't want to know how much time I wasted trying to do that. . . ") The answer, of course, is that Bill Gates knows, in his heart of hearts, that solving problems keeps our brains young and fends off Alzheimer's, so he designed Windows this way on purpose. Scolding peeps may also help fend off Alzheimer's. SRS |
