BS: Scruffy little ragamuffin!

Hey guys.

My little girl is going to be 4 tomorrow (24th March).

I have been through hell and high water trying to protect her from the behaviour and selfishness of a drug addicted mother and the malicious predation of her dealers and sleazy associates.

We now live in a new city full of opportunity, are surrounded by a committed loving family and the courts have awarded me sole custody of the little one till she reaches adulthood.

Each day the stress drains away and I am able more and more to savour the exquisite and incomparable joy of watching a talented, warm hearted, beautiful child blossom and grow, filling me to burst with unimaginable pride.

lox

Somehow I think you'll both have a wonderful day tomorrow Lox.

A Very Happy Birthday to her.

Good for you, lox! Well done, saving a child from that misery AND giving her a loving environment. It's been a long haul, hasn't it?

My grandson turned 4 last November. It is a GREAT and FUN age, they learn so much and become so much more their own little selves in that year between 4 and 5. AND they get even more articulate about it all! You have a lot to look forward to!

Happy Birthday to her and {{hugs}} to yourself for sharing with us.

You've heard that song 'It isn't easy being green'?

Somebody ought to write a song called 'It isn't easy being four.' Four-year-olds have a reputation for being difficult. They know they're not babies, but they aren't big yet. They have thoughts too complicated for their simple language skills to express, and they get so frustrated. So if you hit a few shoals, it may just be normal Four-Year-Old syndrome.

Keep the love coming and in a year she will hit the age known as 'Beautiful 5.'

I'm glad she is with you and not in Drugville.

It's so nice to have an update Lox - I've been wondering how you were getting on.

Enjoy every moment with your daughter and keep the memories close. It sounds as if she has every chance of growing up to be a wonderful person. Watching a child grow and develop is the best.

It's just wonderful to click on a headline about a child in the "news" and have it be something nice! I'm SO happy for both the little girl and you, Lox.

So now, tell us: How did The Birthday go? What lovely things did "pitter-patter-rustle-rustle" reveal?

Very best wishes to you both, and for all the happy birthdays that lie ahead too -

Tears in my eyes, Lox. Love her and let her talk if she needs to. Four years of abuse (physical or emotional) takes its toll.

Being in a safe place with people who love her is wonderful.

Happy Birthday, Little One!
