He was from Nottingham, so he wrote a song aout Robin Hood called Ban the Bow. he did another one called the Farting Song. And he'd studied the mannerisms of Rob Wilton. A great talent. He had this sideline in the 1960's, a polythene bag full of pills. at his gigs you could score in the interval when you bought your raffle ticket. In the 1960's I scored some acid off him, but it turned out to be speed. I just had a matronly half tab - as I was scared of going round murdering all the first born of our generation or something. I just got very paranoid and talked a lot. |
