06 Apr 08 - 08:01 PM (#2308616) Subject: Straight Drive in Rockland (NY) Sun 6/22 From: Rabbi-Sol The Borderline Folk Music Club of Rockland County, NY will present a special Bluegrass house concert featuring STRAIGHT DRIVE. They are a full 6 piece Bluegrass band featuring banjoist Terry McGill and vocalist Jen Larson. The band will perform two 45 minute sets with a 20 minute intermission. This concert will take place on Sunday afternoon, June 22nd at 2 PM in the home of Steve Shapiro, 7 - Trailside Court, New City, (Rockland County), NY 10956. The suggested donation is $20 per person. Participants are asked to bring a cold pot luck desert dish. Although Straight Drive is a Bluegrass band they do have their roots in traditional folk as well. In fact they will be headlining the New Jersey Folk Project's spring weekend festival in early May. Jennifer Larson - Lead Vocals Terry McGill - Banjo Ben Fraker - Mandolin Ron Feinberg - Fiddle Dave Hampton - Guitar Jim Treat - (stand up) Bass This band just appeared last weekend at the NJ Folk Project Spring weekend in Fairview Lake, NJ and have gotten great reviews.
