Hello...i know this really has nothing to do with music, but I'm frantic trying to find an outfit for my performance tonight. The costume I had lined up fell through and I need to think up names of movie stars who have worn memorable, but simple outfits, since I have no time to buy anything and I do have quite a lot to make things from. So please, ANYONE who could help me, I would appriciate it greatly. Thank you in advance, Aja

What's your figure like? You could always do a Marylin Monroe white halter top with a white flared skirt and high heels. Maybe a blond wig if you need one.

Or just a plain clingy kind of dress, and let your hair hang down covering half your face for Veronica Lake.

Hey, it just occurred to me that I am assuming you're a girl. I've never seen the name Ajaleigh before, and I am assuming you are female. Please don't be insulted if I'm wrong.

How about a Desperatley Seeking Susan Madonna outfit with pedalpushers and leather jacket. Tell us more and maybe we can help!

Peasant dress like the Mamas and the Papas?

Trousers and no nonsense blouse with a scarf around you neck, hair piled up ala Katherine Hepburn.

Sleeveless t-shirt with pants ala Sigourney Weaver in Aliens?

All black with a cape ala Elvira or whatshername, Gomez' wife, which Angelica Houston played?

Red dress ala Julia Roberts in oops can't remember, with Richard Gere,oh, Pretty Woman.

Old curtains and hooped skirt from Gone with the wind, Vivien Leigh?

Poodle skirt, ponytail with scarf, blouse for anyone from the myriad of 50's corn, ala Annette Funicello.

A draped sheet ....Taylor as Cleo?:-)

Does any of this help?

Have fun! At Halloween, I put on a great round skirt, lots of folds and twirls great, with a scoop, peasant blouse, a scarf around my head, lots of bangles, necklaces, and earrings and go as a gypsy, no offense intended.

good luck

Or wear a gold bikini and stick a couple of danish on the side of your head - Carrie Fisher/Princess Leia.

Long black bandeau dress and gloves - Rita Hayworth as Gilda.

Long Black coat, black shiny straw boater (pref with cherries), umbrella (pref with parrot's head) - Mary Poppins.

Aja, I don't know if you are male or female so I am suggesting possibilities for both sexes (none of them easy to construct on such short notice, I'm afraid).

Female: Scarlett O'Hara whipped up a festive dark green ball gown from her living room drapes for a scene in GWTW! Marilyn Monroe looked pretty sexy in the dress was wearing when she stood over the street vent in "The Seven Year Itch." Man: How about Tarzan. Very simple costume, you could probably manage with a bath towel as a matter of fact. You might consider Jom Joad, in the "Grapes of Wrath." Kahki pants and work shirt. I'm sure these suggestions will probably reach you to late to help, but I tried.

Female or not, it's always fun to be a Blues Brother.

Fake leopard fur bikini - Raquel Welch in however many years BC. (you don't even need to sew well for this one)

Thanks all of you!! I borrowed my friend's pedal pushers and my father's leather jacket and was Madonna! It worked well...I would have never thought of it. Thank you all much! Aja:o)
